" Symposium held at Waseda University "
Takayuki Fujii, Shunsuke Nagao, and I went to the symposium held
by Mr. Hori and Mr. Vijay Kishu today. They have made a speach on how
they have succeeded on their own company, how they have managed it, and
what the problem was for them for these years on working with the company.
This symposium was held by ETIC and YEO. Mr. Hori is a former
representative of the reption parties, who have just quited today and
Mr. Vijay Kishu is taking it over. Mr. Vijay Kishu is also the
pre-representative of the YEO.
The most interesting part of the story by Mr. Vijay Kishu was
about the bicycle helmets he has made. He has made a company that
manufactures the bicycle helmets for kids in Malaysia. He has thought
this is a chance for him for the country to become wealthier, become aware
of safety, and to become concious to many things around him. He has started
the business 4 years ago. Why bicycle helmets? Well, here's the reason.
It is because Vijay has seen the helmets in the market of Malaysia but it
was only available for high price, especially for experts, and most
importantly, there were only white helmets in the market at that time!!!!
Therefore, he has thought that he should make helmets that are cheap,
are available not only for professionals but also for kids, and instead of
making a white helmet, he has made helmets with cartoons in it!!!!
Today, his market is the largest manufacturer of the bicycle helmets.
Mr. Vijay Kishu has stated three points of becoming successful.
The first one is that you have to be brave, have the challenge to do so,
and don't be afraid to take the risk!! Try something that you've never
seen before, has no past experience to it, and do unitl you understand it.
You never know until you give it a try. This is when you need to work with
your creativeness!!!
Second of all, you must have a clear vision, or a single focus,
on what interaction with the outside world will effect your new ideas, and
how you will understand the different cultures. Having the vision is
important because you should understand where your goals are.
Last but not least, you need to have a global mind set.
You have to be open to new ideas, new opennings, and interacting with the
outside world is important.
Everyone has creativity. You jsut don't use it try using it
by taking the risk to do so. It doesn't have to be something big like what
Mr. Vijay Kishu has done, use it in your own style you have, and something
will happen to you!!!!!
